Narrandera Shire Council is excited to announce the launch of 'Stronger Together', a community-wide consultation designed to gather input for the development of the Shire's Community Strategic Plan (CSP) and Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP).

Running from 23 October to 30 November 2024, the consultation aims to capture the voices of residents, businesses, and service providers, ensuring that the plans reflect the community's needs, priorities, and aspirations for the future. This is a unique opportunity for everyone in the Narrandera Shire to have their say and help shape the direction of Narrandera for the next decade. 

Mayor Kschenka, shared that he looked forward to collaborating with the community on the critical project. "Stronger Together is about bringing our community together to co-create a shared vision for the Shire. We want to hear from all residents, particularly those with lived experiences of disability, to ensure our plans our inclusive, sustainable, and reflective of the diverse needs of our community."

The consultation will include a range of engagement activities.

• Workshops: In-person workshops held across the Shire. 
• Online surveys: For both the CSP and DIAP, accessible on the Council website. 
• Pop-up events: Informal community engagement in high-traffic areas. 
• Targeted sessions: Focused discussions with people with disabilities, carers, and service providers to ensure their voices are heard. 

Residents are encouraged to participate and share their thoughts on key topics such as community well-being, infrastructure, accessibility, economic development, and social inclusion. All contributions will help shape strategies that aim to strengthen Narrandera Shire's future and create a more inclusive, accessible, and vibrant Shire for all.
