Sewer System Construction
Sewer System Construction

The Barellan Sewerage Scheme will provide a modern reticulated sewerage system for the township replacing the existing outdated on-site septic tank systems that are currently prone to failure due to hydraulic overloading, unsuitable lot sizes and poor ground conditions.

This project will overcome the associated risks to public health and environment and encourage housing and business development to the drought stricken community of Barellan.

This will also be an improvement the hazards should a flood occur, as the septic tanks can become a health hazard should the water rise past a particular level.
